The pace is picking up. I love having Jasha POV chapters (she's killer on the cover). The world keeps expanding and there are more and more questions to be answered. Excited to continue!

I like it so far but it's going a little slow. Shallan is sort of falling apart, losing herself in adopting different faces. So I'm worried about her. It's obviously cool getting flashback chapters for Dalinar but it's a little painful seeing him in his youth. It does make you appreciate his character growth and moral journey though. I just love him. I also love that we're getting more of Bridge Four.

Just as weird, wacky, fun, and creative as the first one. But more of a focus on Zaphod than Arthur and Ford (at least so far). Really easy to read and immersive.

I don't know why I was hesitant to read this but it's really blowing me away so far. The writing is beautiful and really brings you into the minds of the characters. I love Bellatine. Issac I'm torn on. His chapters are really interesting and my heart breaks Benji. I'm sure something bad must have happened. I know we can't trust Issac fully but I hope he does good. There's also a non-binary character! Love that.

Kuang immediately immerses me into her story. The beginning is reminiscent of The Poppy War in that it opens with our main character at a younger age (10/11) and then jumps to school aged (16/17).

The society Becky Chambers creates values balance and community and sustainability. It's beautiful. Dex and Mosscap are such great characters and I love seeing their relationship develop. Frustrated Dex introduces excitable and easily distracted Mosscap to humans. Hilarity ensues. They are SUCH a good duo.

I loved Psalm of the Wilde-Built ... and the sequel is turning out to be even better. It's so cute and funny and heartwarming. We're following Dex and Mosscap as they travel around different towns. We're getting a closer look at how human society functions in this world (as book 1 largely took place in the wild).

Much stronger start than book 2 in my opinion. Another year has passed and the danger of the mists/ash is really pressing in. I'm upset that the skaa rebellion and movement for skaa freedom isn't more present.
