finished the first novella for Godzilla! Always has a special place in my heart and I loved seeing how exact the translation was from book to screen!

had to put this one on the Did Not Finish shelf…the writing is just giving me a bad tune! Really was excited for the story but it was so…clunky? I’m not too succinct in what I’m trying to say but whatever!

So excited to finish this book. So tense and it’s all ramping up and I’m so excited!!

Loving it so far. Much different than The Ring (I haven’t seen Ringu yet) but it’s very well paced and scary

I love the way this is formatted ! but it’s also very confusing and very vague and stop with this nonsense i know we’re being existential but…I’m help me out throw me a bone Knick knacks paddywhack:(

What really pisses me off is that the movie and subsequent video game have turned the legacy of this book to dust. While it doesn’t reach the heights of Terkel’s book, it’s a grounded, realistic view of how most of the world, ESPECIALLY AMERICA, would respond to a Walking Dead moment. I find myself thinking of this novel often and I can’t recommend it enough.

Re-reading this. It’s so heartbreaking but goddamn what a beautiful masterpiece this is. I can’t stress enough how involving and heartbreaking it is. Just a beautiful fucking masterpiece
