Had to restart the book: I was genuinely lost (learned to not read this series when utterly exhausted)

I heard someone describe this series as a novel written as if it’s a short story. Couldn’t be more accurate. You are assumed to pick it up as you go, it’s not going to be explained to you detail by detail. This world truly feels lived in.
