The reliance on race and economics as variables explaining the rise of Trump’s MAGA movement strikes me as incomplete. It gestures in the direction of the explanans, but doesn’t quite sharply identify it. I would say the lack of a unifying cause that offers genuine fulfillment and fragmenting sense of community are more influential. Think “Bowling Alone.”

“The lion and the lamb lie down together” may be interpreted as innocence and strength can coexist.

Fear is a lack of love; our minds are more under our direction than we realize; fear cannot persist in the presence of absolute love.
