I really liked the first two books and the prequel. But this opens with a very confusing battle and I couldn't pick up the plot or the purpose. Book 3 took a strange turn and now it seems lost in the attempt to make this a 6 or 7 book series.
I'm giving up after 25%. Didn't hook me.
