"blindness" (only other one of his i've read) was pretty good but i'm having a pretty rugged time w/ this one so far if you wanna know the straight truth. i've read about 60 pages so far & haven't really picked up the thread of the thing. it's set in some kind of dystopian future but people still talk as if it's the 1940s & whole sections of it consist of apparent non-sequiturs. maybe i'm just dumm.
