I can already tell that this is going to either be a 2.5 or 3 stars read. The concept was so promising but everything from the characters, world building, lore and plot is so poorly executed. This needs to be rewritten and properly edited.

Right now this is sitting at 3 stars with 33 pages left

I’m still very meh with this story 74% of the way in. I feel very little connection with any of the characters. If you ask me to pick one I like well enough I guess it would be Cook and maybe Izzi . The slow reveal of certain fantastical elements being quickly accepted/moved on feels like a disservice somehow.
