= discipline on Direct transfer of control
=Decomposable , testable , falsifiable

-Object oriented Programming
=discipline on indirect transfer of control
=polymorphism
=more control over code dependency

-Functional programming
=discipline on variable assignment
=immutable state
=protection against concurrency issues

Dijkestra once said, "Testing shows the presence, not the absence of bugs." In other words,a programm can be proven incorrect by test, but it cannot be proven correct.
