The writing's lovely. I think I'm done with books about grief and loneliness, bouncing back and forth in time to come to the denouement that I assume either I've guessed correctly or will be a twist I may have also seen coming. Another book that I'm not sure I'll finish, even though I've come this far. Life's too short.

This is just dragging. There are moments when something is actually happening that are good, but there's so much stream-of-consciousness interior monologue that it becomes tedious. Is this a philosophical treatise, or is it a novel? I guess I'm not the target audience. Can I make it to the end? I don't know. Do I care? Not much.
