I can tell her boyfriend is gonna die because there was a sex scene and it wasn’t detailed in the first 2% either he’s gonna be absent or dead for most of the book. Also immediate xenophobia in the first few pages lol

The use of the word arse in a Norse mythology inspired obviously historical fantasy novel seems out of place and American. Even if arse isn’t an Americanism it just seems heavy handed. I feel like buttocks would have been more historical sounding haha
