1 part Tolkien 2 parts Vonnegut and 3 parts Douglas Adams- sprinkle in the bizzare sensibilities of film director David Lynch- mix it all up and out pops the Satanic verses-- enjoying it so far- although it can be dizzying at times.

I bought this neat collection of classic novels for my nook and this is one of many great books in the anthology. Flaubert's writing style and character details make this tale set in early 19th century Europe seem both vivid and accesible.
