I really wish I could have read this before I went nomad. It supports a lot of what I’m learning firsthand. Wealth is relative, as is poverty. Just because someone only earns $1,000 a month here in Bulgaria doesn’t make them poor. They’re middle to upper-middle class here, because that’s in the realm of what things cost.

Much more science than I’m normally able to process, but he writes so well about it and it’s fascinating. I think anyone who loves food would be taken with this brilliant look at where all life springs forth.
