I just received a first full review of the draft of Plant Sleuths. The reviewer appreciated my passion for botany, but I need to work on the legal aspects. I'm excited to starting making revisions.

Fantastic news! I've just sent the manuscript of my new book, Plant Sleuths, to the publisher, Oxford Univerity Press. Now awaiting their review and then hopefully on to production. As this moves forward I'll do some blogging and other social media activities to let everyone know more about the book.

Fantastic book tracing a number of eco-activisits tracing their different yet intertwined lives in the context of trees. Based upon the idea that trees exhibit a form of intelligence because of their interconnectedness. As an ecologist, these ideas challenge my thinking and force me to rethink how I view forest communities.

Brilliant, inspiring, makes me feel that I had such an easy ride through the faculty ranks by comparison. But, Jahren has risen to high with her work.
