Now more than half-way finished… still VERY heavy with political rhetoric, and it’s not very intelligent rhetoric at that. All left-leaning characters are depicted as caring, smart, successful people while the right-leaning crowd are all redneck trash. I’m going to finish it just to finish it, but I’m very disappointed.

I’m only about 10% into the book, and the sheer amount of political rhetoric is making me regret choosing it. I’ve long known that Stephen King was a hardcore Democrat, but who cares, right? Leave the political stuff to the hacks and write good books… this one is so heavy with any-Trump/ Republican stuff that it’s taking away from the story and I’m getting bored.

I’ve been excited about this coming out since I stumbled upon it. Heat is one of my favorite, in quite a long and eclectic list I should add, movies. The cast was very well put together and what some would describe as star-studded, but that doesn’t make a film. The story and script were very well done, and the sequence of events and pacing are very fast and intense. So far, the sequel is the same!
