Chapter 29 - Tradition and Anti-Tradition
- Aryanism not reducible to mere biological criteria, grasped as race of the spirit
- Aryan was heroic figure striving for inner liberation, both active and combative in form
- Religion the degenerate stage following after magic, shift from command in prayer to mere desire and sentimentalism
- Heroic transcendent fulfilment to mere escapism defines modern devotional religion

Chapter 28 - Decadent Cycles and Heroic Cycle
- The Coming Bronze age was a time of Raging Violence
- The Greek Myth of the Titans portrays the Titanic Civilisation as a violent race void of any Brotherhood
- Both God and Zeus sent flooding to Extinguish the Raging Violence on Earth
- The Twilight of the Gods follows when the Pontifical Bridge between Earth and Heaven. Earth had no divine connection - Kali Yuga

Chapter 28 - The Civilisation of the Mother
- In the Silver Age the Mother Civilisation is seen at its most prominent. A woman is posited as the source from which all other life emerges
- The overemphasis on earth leads to the renunciation of Higher Existence, as the Womb of the Earth has become a comfort.
- Emphasis of Lunar Spirit rather than Solar, aswell as a feeling of Commune and Equality, no Hierarchy.

Chapter 26 - North and South
- Where the North is the Sun and Fire, the South embodies the Civilisation of the Mother, those characteristics being the Earth, Contingent Waters and Lunar Spiritualities of a feminine nature. The danger in this association with fertility of a natural Kind is to become lost in nature and lose the higher striving for Transcendence

Chapter 25 The Northern-Atlantic Cycle
- Interestingly Evola cites climate change as what ended the Golden Age, and set in motion the new Atlantic Cycle (Freezing Long Nights) and the Great Migration of the Northern Primordial Race, from North to South, West to East
- Possibly resulted in Plato's Atlantis?
- New lands resulted in struggles with lower indigenous races, and the creation of the Caste Hierarchy

Chapter 24 - The Hyperborean Region
- The Pole represents a Spiritual stability, static and surrounded by contingent waters, associated with The Island and Olympian Mountain
- Island was located beyond the north wind, the north having spiritual meaning such as in the Hindu Sanskrit epic The Ramayana
- In the Nordic tradition it was a Green Island, that was lush with vegetation until the late phases of the Ice Age

Chapter 23 - The Golden Age
- Evola's analysis of the Golden Age considers it an era of being rather than mere becoming, primarily manifested as an era of spiritual stability, men and immortal gods lived one common life.
- Repetition of the myth of a Golden Object, interpreted as the preservation of the primordial tradition and the spiritual quality symbolised by the Gold. Also repeats solar symbolism.

Chapter 22 - The Four Ages
- The Modern definition of Progress coincided with the primordial idea of decline
- This progress to decline is understood as four ages
- References from Hesiod (Metals) , Book of Daniel (Statue) and Hinduism (Yugas)
- Idea the Distant past was a Golden Age and the present a dark age, contrasts the Darwinian Caveman Myth, that man ascended from animalistic origins

Chapter 21 - Decline of Superior Races
- Evola addresses overpopulation as an example of humans being reduced to a quantitive category, he criticises the idea of 'Strength in Numbers' as spiritually decadent
- If we reduce the reproduction down to the best results, we end up with work horses built for nothing but work.
- Spirituality is reduced to a mere 'Religion', a sign of caste mixing and decadence.

Chapter 20 - Man and Women
- The Supernatural is masculine and the Natural Feminine
- The Gender one is born into is one that must be realised, Androgyny was regarded as a sacrilege and lead to 'The Fall'.
- The Woman could pursue two paths to being, Lover and Mother, Demetrian and Aprhodistic.
- The crisis of degradation of masculinity
- Feminism is not a liberation, rather an imitation of Masculinity in consumerism

Chapter 19 - Space, Time, Earth

- Evola cites time as being Cyclical rather than Linear, Qualitative rather than quantitative, times could be favourable and unfavourable which fit in with the Timing of the Rites.
- Space is not an empty vessel but rather alive and saturated with qualities and powers. The borders between I and Not I were Fluid.
- A man and his Land was seen as a sacred relationship (Blood and Soil)

Chapter 18 - Games and Victory

- The Games were more than entertainment, it was a danger to neglect them
- The action itself had to take place in the presence of symbols with a higher meaning. The Athlete gives the image of victory over the body. The Game symbolised a struggle to defeat death.
- Games were often tied in with Rites
- Modern Games have shifted from magical symbols, to abstract/Social conventions

Chapter 17 - Holy War

- The ascetic path of Action in the Holy War, would shift a warrior from the material plane to the Transcendental Plane
- If War is disconnected from its heroic character, it becomes primal and animalistic
- A man who died a heroic death, would be brought on the path of Gods, and taken to a super individual state of being (Odin and Valhalla)
- "The blood of the heroes is close to God

Chapter 16 - Asceticism

- Evola introduces the two paths of Asceticism, the path of Contemplation and the path of Action (Only discusses the former)
- Evola uses the Buddhist idea of Bhodi, to define a state that brings man to a state free and supremely Autonomous
- He also makes use of Meister Eckharts principle of spiritual centrality and detachment from all things, where man can achieve a form beyond all forms

Chapter 15 - Professional Arts

- The Ancient arts ritually transformed physical activity into symbolic actions with transcendent meanings
- It was important in traditional civilisations that the arts and work, were done silently and with a Bhakti like goal in mind. They were prevented from becoming mere materialistic and economic labours, as they are in the modern world.
- Without Bhakti in work, man is a slave

Chapter 14 - Doctrine of the Castes

- Caste system was a "form" victorious over chaos that embodied the metaphysical ideas of stability and justice
- Evola uses the Indo-Aryan system as an example, placing emphasis on the Indo-Aryan idea of "Bhakti"
- The birth of man into Caste did not determine his nature, rather his spiritual nature and virtue determined his birth into a caste
- "Know yourself, Be Yourself"
