While I enjoy having Van Williams, Caesar Romero, and Bruce Lee in my graphic novel, I really wish they'd put in the effort to do a legit crossover instead of making it so that I can't wait for The Hornet to send Batman back to Gotham sobbing.

Good news, Batman and the Green Hornet in the same comic. Bad news, it's a sequal to the crossover from the 60's tv shows and all of the things that made Batman horrendous are in here except the purple cape.

Christmas was the only time of year the slaves got a vacation and any food other than corn pone and bacon.

In Louisiana ca 1843 a slaves weekly ration consisted of enough corn to make a peck of meal and three and a half pounds of bacon. Due to the warm, humid climate, the bacon had a tendency to spoil.

I should've gotten a copy of this in Middle English cause the constructions rendered in Modern English are just awkward.

So, within a month of his kidnapping there was a letter on the desk of the Governor of the State of New York describing what had happened. The Governor decided not to pursue the kidnapping and Mr. Northrup spent 12 years in bondage. Have I ever mentioned on here how much slavery makes my blood boil?

So yeah, 'bout that whole being more enlightened thing, Mr. Northrup's kidnapping sounds exactly like modern human trafficking stories that I've read.

Since I've seen like 8 things in the past week having to do with slavery, I figure it's time to read this.

But the passing life that we have here in our fleshliness does not know what our self is, except through our Faith. And when we know and see truly and clearly what our self is, then shall we truly and clearly see and know our Lord God in fullness of joy.
