I'm enjoying that this Starbuck is the level headed one. I do kinda wonder what kinda crazy Kara Thrace would pull on a tall ship though.

You know you've read the whole Aubrey/Maturin series when you see the drawing of the cabin on the Pequod and your first reaction is "That's not a proper quarter deck!"

The illustration at the end of chapter 25 is a whaling coat of arms which I find entirely too amusing.

First use of the name Starbuck. Sadly, the ship's name is not Galactica.

Ohh foreshadowing! None to subtle though.

The problem with reading an almost 90 year old copy is that it's falling apart. Binding is loose, page tears, makes holding it tricky. Luckily for the pages, I have a supply of archive quality magic tape.
