Up to this point I think Maik is making up Tschick. Like, maybe Tschick does exist, but his coming closer to Maik is only in Maik's head. It's just so odd. It feels like those stories where the relationship between two characters is so personal, so intimate, and so "just the two of them", until you realize one of them doesn't really exist.
