10th Short Story - The Hounds from Hades: "The Hounds had come from hell and now they had returned there....When the Black Dogs were heard, someone had died...It was the law of this hill country dating back to time immemorial, and it would always be so."

9th Short Story - The Howling on the Moors: detective fiction disguised as horror. Follows on from the previous short story in setting the tone. An Odell mystery. Simple yet effective, another cozy read.

8th Short Story - The Werewolf Legend: fiction written as fact; an essay of the legendary lycanthrope horror.

7th Short Story - The Case of the Ostrich Slasher: an Odell detective story; cozy crime pitch perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

6th Short Story - Mr Strange’s Christmas Dream; a premonition produced by the paranormal sees the title character succumbing to a deadly fate. Spooky ghost of Christmas past vibes.

5th Short Story - Cannibal Island: adventure on the seas turns terror on terrafirma. Title says it all.

3rd Short Story - The Lurkers; a forbidden manuscript holds its owner hostage at the hands of a nefarious gang. Slow burning short story which has minimal horror elements. Just ‘ok’

4th Short Story - The Ghouls: Grave robbers get more than they bargained for, joining those very bodies in death. Story is deeper by virtue of the unwritten.

1st short story - The Shooting on the Moss: Game hunting in an eerie bog ends in tragedy rekindled from past horrors. Thick, dense atmosphere complemented by a terrifying creature feature crescendo.

Such a 'cool' writing style.

Heart wrenching emotional filled terror tail which really puts you through the proverbial wringer.

Pretty decent read.
