it's so much fun

I was super hesitant in starting The Hunger Games alongside Gone Girl. Now I feel so good that I did. I am loving The Hunger Games and maybe a bit disappointed for not reading it earlier.

Now we finally get an insight to Amir's family and how terrified he was of his father's grumpy nature and that how self-centered he was. The account of his mother's death or maybe murder sounds mysterious. Probably there's more about that coming up...Hosseini's narration of the snoring was just hilarious and not to mention Amir making fun of Hassan's poor vocabulary and him making up for the guilt by donating things.

A great beginning to the book with the bond between Amir and Hassan and how Amir admires Hassan so much despite the differences in their respective tribe status. Ali, Hassan's father is super admirable for he is so calm and patient in spite of the terrible things that he would have to hear.
