Why is she still drinking the tea and wine!? I can understand staying because during this time period the amount of autonomy women had was pretty much nonexistent but that part she can control.

Almost half way in and it still feels like the book is meant to be the first in a series. Curious how it will be brought together by the end of the book.

They keep saying “ancestor” when the word should be “descendant” and that annoys me. Who was the editor!?
