After a stressful day yesterday, I decided to get back into this book and mindfulness meditation. The chapter that I read was about stopping the rumor mill in your mind, which was exactly what I needed.

Interesting book. It's really keeping my attention. Might be a good recommendation for the YA in my life.

This is very interesting, seeing how important these women were to the design and development of rockets, the space race and space exploration. One thing does bother me, and it was the sign of the time, and that was how these women had to quit or be fired when they became pregnant.

This is torture.

Things are sitting better with this book. Oh, she's still petulant, but the action and rising tension in the plot are overshadowing her behavior-somewhat.

My least favorite female protagonist is a whiny, wimpy one. My 2nd least favorite one is a petulant one that will cut off her nose just to spike someone, jumping erradically around with her behavior.

So far, this book seems to have the 2nd kind, and if her character doesn't start to grow up fast - she is supposed to be 23, but I know 12 year olds more maturely behaved - I'm dumping this book.

It's like watching a train wreck slowly happening. Whoa. This doesn't bode well for Joe right now.

Great book. I've learned a lot, but for some reason, it's taken me a long time to get through this book.
