Interesting story so far. It started strong in the first chapter and slowed down quite a bit. It seems to be picking back up now into chapter 8.

I like the characters.

The author has a unique writing style. The font choice, word choices and sentence structure (quite a few colons, m-dashes and the like) may take a while to get used to.

Interesting first chapter. Looking forward to how the story progresses.
