I don’t know what it is about this book. This is my first foray into Tad’s work, which is interesting considering how highly my dad spoke of his writing when I was a kid. And I devoured practically anything he handed me; Eddings, Jordan, Feist etc. Somehow I missed the boat on Memory, Sorrow and Thorn until now. Reading it now, I can admire Tad’s prose, and even his plot. But it’s slow, and the characters…
