Somehow it feels a bit weird that such a story is set in Germany - with "things" like that...

Worst Fitzek ever.

Guys, I have a serious question because I just can't understand how a book like this can happen: Isn't there anybody at Fitzek's publisher who reads his manuscripts and QUESTIONS the things he writes by saying sth. like "Well, this is pretty entertaining but maybe you could make your story a little more believable"? Do they all just pat him on the back and say "Write whatever you like, we'll sell your books anyway?"

Stuck in a situation where there is no logical explanation left? Just come up with something else that makes no sense...

Like father, like son: Obviously the Kings really love loooooong introductions...

This was supposed to be my Halloween read 2013 and I have almost completely forgotten what this is about... something about Christmas I think :D

I think I'm gonna rush through this book, very addictive so far...

I want the "old" Fitzek back! :(

A fast-paced thriller, but the profiling parts were rather lame…

Not that bad for a free ebook…

Am I the only one who thinks that this is already getting more and more absurd?

I'm quite surprised how many details have been altered for the movie version, I really didn't notice that many changes while watching the film :D

Solving a murder case he has just seconds before been briefed about via e-mail – the main character is so perfect it really starts to annoy me. In addition to that it makes absolutely no sense to tell a story through a first-person narrative if you don't get to know anything about his thoughts or feelings…

Just wanted to start complaining that the investigator in this story is a bit boring. Then he started speaking Klingon fluently… xD

The ice pick method - I don't think I wanted to know what this is...*shudders*

Oh how I love this setting...

I love reading about profilers and I love reading about serial killers. This book is about a profiler whose father is a serial killer… *_*

That was epic! If you loved Sanderson's STEELHEART and don't know what to read until Firefight is released, if you're into X-Men, Watchmen or Batman and if you feel comfortable in places like Gotham City or Sin City - THEN WHY AREN'T YOU ALREADY HOLDING THIS BOOK IN YOUR HANDS?

There's only one reason I'm not finishing this book right now: I want to be caught in this story just a little bit longer, even if it's just for a day...

So there is this character that has just been reincarnated for the third time and whose name starts with "Doctor". I'm no expert but this sounds familiar... ^^

If you decide to become a superhero/supervillain and want to create your own cool outfit, why would you choose a tight body suit that is MUSTARD YELLOW??? Who takes you seriously if you are wearing MUSTARD YELLOW??

Take the supervillain elements from Steelheart, mix them with the dark atmosphere of Watchmen und place it in a city that is as rotten as Gotham and this is what you get <3

I'm lost. I have no idea how some of the characters came into this story, nobody seems to be interested in explaining the events that set the whole thing up and I don't know why it was necessary to put so many details in the book that aren't even the least important for the storyline...

Still wondering where all the superheroes came from, some background information would be nice^^
