I don’t remember if this is the plot that D Gabaldon describes as a braid but idk how I put it down to read all my due books. I’m at a point where I know something awful is coming and knowing D. Gabaldon it could be the next 250 pages I have to get through up to that point but the suspense of it is killing me.

The feelings I had reading last weeks book and not relating to a sense of duty one felt to country over their family in this book while I love that Bree doesn’t really ask him pitifully she just says matter of fact she can’t compete with God. While I don’t know that it’s the putting family before faith that is romantic to me more context here is he could be called away in the name of faith but he is hers.

I like it so far, this book is due back to the library today along with so many of the books I’ve been reading to finish in time. Hope I can finish it I have the audio but I’ve been enjoying paper books a lot recently.

Also, this book reminds me of “STRAIGHT TO JAIL” with things like facecrime and thoughtcrime.

So in an idea similar to analogies of a pendulum to discuss the political shift of left to right, society has expanded one way and now is in the process of being reduced to remove the “ability” of thoughtcrime. Weirdly makes me think of Idiocracy.
