Quite tedious as I am not a fan of the main theme. However the (strangely) injected tales do make for variation which keeps me going.

I like the concept so far but the boss-babe it-girl magazine writing style (kind of as if a man whom has never met a woman tried to write a book from a woman’s perspective... hmm) of Sarah’s first few bits were painful to read in contrast to the rather mature way Little Bee her bits were written. Now that her husband died her tone is a bit easier to take serious and I hope that will stay that way.

Started a while ago, after I decided against reading the series in chronological order and do it in order of publication instead. I got to know Harris’ work through the tv series Hannibal, which I never finished although the story was still on my mind. I’m glad that some questionable choices were not originally in the book, like Lounds being a gorgeous redhead lady. So far, I really like where this is going.

The story was at least a bit plausible at first. Now, though, it has lost all of its realism. The “plot twists” are exhausting. So are the errs, mistakes, and less fortunate choice of words. I’m not sure if I’ll keep reading it. Don’t get me wrong, it has some really aspects and parts of it are well written- almost as if by someone else. But I don’t think it’s worth finishing.

The book became quite a bit boring after what seemed like the main event. Though now I’m reading on it seems to get a little more interesting... I hope the plot will not disappoint. So far A Kiss Before Dying has had a few moments which made my heart beat faster, but the errors (mainly typos) in the book and the try hard and seemingly forced writing style are rather off putting.
