8 starts with nurses denying the gang a visit to Johnny's hospital room, but Two-Bit convinces a doctor to let them see Johnny. A nurse appears telling Johnny that his mother was waiting to see him and tells the nurse that he wants his mom to leave him alone for once, Johnny ends up dying presumably from shock. The gang leave the hospital and meet Cherry who tells them she could never see Johnny cause he killed Bob.

Johnny, Ponyboy, and Dally have just went back to the church to find it burning they hear people inside so they go in to save them. Johnny and the others all get rushed to an ambulance and into a hospital. When Ponyboy wakes up he finds Darry and Sodapop.

Zaphod continues to argue with the elevator while Marvin theorizes why it wont let them go up and suggests that its afraid of heights until it answers that it is afraid of the future. The elevator lets them go up but once the get there, there a bunch of unlabeled doors and the building starts to get bombed and Zaphod and Marvin meet a man that explains that the unnamed people are after Zaphod.

Zaphod and Marvin have been sent to a cafe in the planet Ursa Minor Beta, by Zaphod's Great Grandfather. Zaphod argues with a insect with the goal of finding a man named "Zarniwoop". He next finds Marvin and they argue with an elevator.

Zaphod and the rest of the crew are being fired at by Vogons, while Arthur makes a cup of tea, Zaphod decides to use the remaining minutes of his life to contact his dead family members for help, after that Zaphod and Marvin go missing, leaving the rest of the crew questioning where they went and in the middle of the black void we call "space".

Jonas has recently been awarded the title of the Receiver Of Memory. Jonas finds that everyone around him is reluctant to talk to him. One of the rules in the paper in the folder given to him, is that he can lie to anyone he wants.

Jonas has got the stirrings and now has to take pills. This pill makes stirrings go away. Jonas feels pride in taking the pills.

All of the family (Except lily) are at the dinner table discussing the baby that might be released for being sicker than the other babies at the fathers work. They are also talking about Jonas and the ceremony of 12.

Slartibartfast proposes a plan to Arthur to rebuild earth after its destruction. He says the earth was commissioned by mice leaving Arthur in shock. 2 guys make, what they presume to be the greatest computer in the universe, only to find out its the 2nd greatest. Their names are Fook and Lunkwill.

Zaphod, Ford, Trillian, and Arthur, are traveling through Magrathea, they have found a crack in the ground leading into where the Magrathea people live, Arthur and Marvin are guarding basically nothing.

As a result of the Improbability Drive, a whale has appeared even after earths destruction and fell into the void of space and died, meanwhile Trillian's pet mice who she saved from earth have disappeared.

Zaphod's ship's interior has been redesigned to due Arthur using the improbability drive. The missiles following them have mysteriously disappeared.

Zaphod, Trillian, Ford, and Arthur are now approaching the long lost planet Magrathea.

Ford and Arthur have recently met Zaphod, Trillian, and their robot Marvin.

Arthur and Ford have just recently been thrown off of the Vogon ship they were picked up on and have landed in random nearby spaceship.

Arthur and Ford are currently stuck on a Vogon ship thanks to Dentrassi cooks on the ship, now they are hiding from the Vogons, who are trying to kick them off the ship.

Currently the planet Earth has been destroyed for construction purposes. The aliens who did this are the "Prostetic Vogon Jeltz Of The Galactic Hyperspace Council". I am also reading about the president of the galaxy give a speech to 3 billion people.
