What does it say about Frederick when he gives Bach the task of making the fugue into six voices?

I chose to read this book because the title caught my attention. I’ve wanted to know how they make their music and why, who or what inspired them to write it. I just want to learn more about them, learn the history of their time period, and know about their music.
