Fascinating read so far. Sadly by pure accident I have the book longer than its owner intended for me to borrow it, so I doubt I'll get to finish it just now, but I'm definitely going to try to put as big a dent in it until I can get it back to its rightful home.

Read The Hunger Games, after finally seeing the movie last week. I'm finished already, but I have a lot to say about the book and absolutely no time to write about it, so I'm leaving it unfinished until I'm back home.

I seem to have discovered a rather significant number of diversions from The Wheel of Time series. I suppose it's a good place to stop, but I should really go back. I guess I'm just sad because at the end of THIS readthru, the Wheel of Time will be over.

Anyway, Redshirts is the newest diversion on my list, and promises to be a quick read. More on it, specifically, next time.

It's kind of impossible to say what page I'm on in this at any given time, since it's a compilation of 46 stories, and I'm likely to read them in haphazard order.

For now, I've read a single story: #44, How Cormac Mac Art Went to Faery.

This is not a new status - I actually read up through page 79 a good long while ago, and intend to come back to it.

I've been enjoying the story, but for some reason I simply can't take this except in small doses. I can't quite put a finger on why, either.

Forgot to mark this when I began [yesterday? the day before? I forget ^_^].

Next time I'm with my physical books, I need to thumb through TDR and TGH to see if this book *really* begins quicker than TGH, or if it just feels that way. I see the time at Fal Dara in TGH, and the time in the Dragon's camp in TDR, to be extended prologues of a sort, so it will be interesting to see which runs longer.

Okay, I pretty much have my to-read list locked in place for the next several months. I plan to read all fourteen novels in The Wheel of Time prior to the final volume's release - yes, I'm counting the prequel in that number. I also need finally to read the Prydain Chronicles, which I can squeeze in at some point. And finally I need to finish reading Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister.

Working on rereading The Wheel of Time in advance of A Memory of Light's release. I started late so it may not be so casual a read-through a I'd originally planned. Still, thirteen books in eight months is entirely doable.
