It actually is growing on me as a book. I would have to caution readers not to take too many notes or stop too many times. You lose the sense of the characters with Sterling's beautiful descriptions.

Although, the thought was that the main character and his friend Oscar were going to get in trouble for Oscar's one day of missing work, Oscar's mother saved them from his terrifying father. This shows that Oscar's mother is nice and easygoing. For example, instead of being mad that they brought a raccoon home, she fed it and took care of it. As you can see, Oscar's mother is a savior and the nice type of parent.

The hard part now, is to convince the parents of the main character's friend if he could keep his raccoon as a pet. Although the parents were at first not agreeable, they allowed him for his experience in taking care of pets and for his farm that comforts them. This is how the friendship of the raccoon and the main character began.

Of all animals in the main character's farm this moment, he loves his dog the most. For example, when introducing his dog, he described his dog as obedient, loyal and lots of fun. Most importantly, his seems to earn more love from his owner by even going to the trips he goes on. This explains the bond between the main character and his friend/dog.

This story is so cute! And I like the reference to the Reverend who the reader can look up for record.

Grr. Another book that starts on a page higher than #1. Irritating! This book is only 174 pages long, from page 15 to page 189.

I think that Sterling will kick his siter Theo out of the house. Sterling likes to keep a lot of wild animals in the house and his sister does not like that. Usual his sister is gone so this conflict does not happen. But Theo came back and does not like the animals and made them go outside. Sterling feels very annoyed about this and I think he will tell his sister to leave.
