First chapter done! My main takeaway is that every book’s uniqueness comes from the reader himself and the meaning behind the book is the answer that you seek. The simplest sentence you read can carry the essence of your whole existence.

So far it is inspiring. I like that it makes you think about the mundane way we live our lives. You can find happiness and satisfaction in the mundane you just have to look. It’s all about perspective and the way you treat yourself.

Hiroya’s story was so interesting. I felt like I could see a lot of Japanese culture in it. And I loved his mothers unwavering support. He had a lot to learn about himself. I enjoyed the journey and his conversations with the librarian and other staff.

Natsumi's journey is so hopeful. A beautiful pivot.

Really loving this book. It's relaxing but meaningful. Each narrator is special and has relatable issues. Each of them describes the librarian similarly (odd but works) but the librarian offers each something unique.

I'm so happy I'm reading this as my first book of the year as it feels especially poignant. It feels super connected to New Year changes. It's hopeful and encouraging.

This is so cosy. I feel like I need to go to Tokyo and visit a library. However, why is it whenever the librarian is mentioned they always describe her as large. Like she was compared to Baymax and a marshmallow.
