Ryo’s story is somewhat bittersweet. Drifting but dreaming of the future his visit to the bookshop sets in place a rather different lifestyle.

speaking as an unrepentant snob who was coerced into reading this, it’s nice :)

Tomoka’s story is heartwarming. Through the power of a simple book she starts to pay more attention to those around her and takes pride in her skills.

Loving the warm fuzzy inspiration I get from this book. Excited to start the next chapter about a 40-something prior magazine editor, feels familiar!

Este segundo capitulo me recordó a mi de cierta forma lo de llevar dos trabajos no es fácil pero me gusta , mi principal trabajo es administrativo y el segundo es creativo ... Por lo que es difícil pero muchas veces es preferible arriesgar que quedar con ganas

Hoy en la mañana quise leer este libro que me recomendaron justamente en la librería de mi ciudad como algo mágico y muy lindo ... Está situado en Japón y cuánta la historia de cinco personas que están pasando por momentos donde no saben que hacer de su vida , por ahora llevo leyendo a Tomoka y ver cómo a través de un simple muy simple libro se da cuenta que todos vemos las cosas distintas y hay que seguir intentando

I’m in love with this book! You can’t help but root for the characters and their dreams - so heart warming without being saccharine

forcing himself to attend the hs reunion in fear of other people reading his time capsule message… only for them not to remember him at all LMAO. ‘i think you guys might be thinking of yourselves too much’ never gets old

If you like Studio Ghibli this has a similar whimsy - I’m visualizing it all in the same kind of anime style which is lowkey delightful
