What a delightful book!! I love the stories, and I also love how themes of hope, faith, fate and destiny are woven into each of the stories. I also love how some "characters" appear in more than one chapter.

A truly delightful book, and clearly, one I shall treasure for a long time.

I prefer the 2nd story to the 1st. Both seem like they are 90% about individual effort which can feel a bit boot-strappy. The description of the librarian felt significantly more anti-fat this time round, but the protagonist does switch to considering her a person rather than a thing after a short while.
