This book is longgg even on audio but I’m into it. Definitely took some getting used to

It took 100 pages to get to Lydia’s real mission. It’s been 150 more and a she’s made no progress. The rest is a retelling of P&P events and filling in what happened in Brighton with magic inserted.

Switched to audio. 1000% better on audio. I struggled with the style reading it in my head but the narrator does a great job. Also important to note that the author recreated a Jane Austen-like writing style and is really selling how annoying/petty Lydia is (consistent with the original book in that way). A bit dense though
