Slow going, haven’t really been in a reading mood

I literally need to finish this tonight I am LOVING it

Currently in my multiple books at a time era but this is so sweet so far from the point of view of a nine year old girl who notices her mom is sad by tasting the food she’s been making her…Pisces behavior

Not sure where the plot is going...

I feel like I'm reading a third grade primer.

Still one of the odder books I've ever picked up. I wonder if there is a plot that is going somewhere or if we're just telling a story here without any real purpose other than its telling.

So far, strange but not unreadable.

Couldn’t finish it. Couldn’t get into it. Kinda bummed it looked so interesting!

So far its interesting. I assumed the focus would be more on tasting the emotions of the mother but the story absorbs that into the struggles of her family. Though this is not what I expected to read, nonetheless I am still enjoying it

I don’t know where the story is headed but at this point it’s beautiful.

I loved how they brought the characters together.

Joseph’s friend George (interested in physics) tries to figure out why certain foods taste empty to Rose. (Losing interest at an a(t)Ed rate).

Rose age 9went to the school office sick. The nurse thought she might be anorexic or blue mic, but decided it is just an overactive imagination. (Rs complaint was that food tastes hollow).

Melodramatic, sad. Rose has an odd conversation with her grandma. The cake Lane made from scratch tastes empty to Rose. Her brother Joseph is in junior high. Their dad comes home around 7 every night. The mother is mostly waiting for that time. Lane has taken a part time job with a carpenter.
