Read a preview and even though I planned to read another book before this, I don't think it will take me too long to finish this one.

It was great at the first part( this book is divided into 4 parts), but it went downhill after that...if you value your time, invest it into another book or any activity you enjoy.
This book was a complete disappointment...

Need to get to at least 33% before I sleep. Shouldn't be too hard, it's an easy book to read.

I have three days to read this for book group. Probably should've started sooner!

This has a rather low rating on GoodReads, and based on the beginning, I can't imagine why. We'll see!

Interesting premise. I think it's a good thing this is fiction.

"I just know, I said. The thing I'm not supposed to know. He paused again. A muggy silence" (Bender 149). Although Rose is young, she's very aware of her surroundings. She knows her mother is cheating on her father with another man, but chooses not to confront her about it because she still cares about her mother's feelings.

"Take it out! I said. Please. Mommy. Take it off my face." (Bender 74) I chose this quote because I found it interesting how she could feel her mother's sadness through her own pie. Rose loves her mother and she can't stand how depressed her mother is and she just wants to do something for her to make her feel loved again.

Disconcerted by the absence of quotation marks around what people say.
