Status Updates From Towards a New Architecture

The first chapter talks about the engineer's aesthetic and architecture. It starts off with basic ideas, three reminders to architects; Mass, Surface, Plan. And the chapter works towards more complex ideas. A part called "Eyes which do not see" talks about a new epoch in the world and how it directly relates to architecture. Le Courbusier says, "Architecture is stifled by custom. The 'styles' are a lie"

The first 24 pages is an introduction written by Frederick Etchells, talking a little bit about Le Corbusier and the purpose of the book. This book was originally written in French, but was later translated by Etchells into English. The introduction also starts to develop basic ideas of what an architect does.
