Status Updates From A Peste Escarlate

This book is like a straight river, yet the current is as strong as the Black Sea. I can't remember the last time I've read a book this excited and let myself get into the flow. It must be Orwell or London; nobody else could be. In addition, London was Orwell's inspiration in writing, so tonight London has convinced me that he is the greatest author of all time, with just one and a half books.

I finished the first chapter and was quite intrigued by the premise. Was the apocalyptic world similar to the TV shows? Also, this book was written in 1913, so this might be one of the pioneers of apocalypse fiction. With London's detailed descriptions, I can imagine the scenario, just like I am one of them. Now, the grandpa will narrate those early years of the plague, and I am super excited!
