Status Updates From Simon Sort of Says

This is the most adorable YA book I’ve read in a while. Perfectly captures a 12 year old boy and is both hilarious and somber. Reminds me of “My Grandmother Asked Me…” but for tweens/ young teens.

If you read the blurb, it sort of spoils it. So just read it. It's devastating and hopeful, all at once. Don't fret over it being a middle grade book if you're an adult. Just read it.

Great book. The stars are indeed aligning. A trifecta of things all coming together as I near an ending that I can’t guess.

Constant light humor w developing underlying story. I like it.

I am looking forward to reading this one more in the next few days. The voice is striking and has me interested right off the bat.

I want to remember a couple of funny lines I heard today driving home. Simon talks about his dad's love of newspapers, and he says something like, "He's never met a dying industry he didn't try to save..." and it made me laugh out loud.
ARGH--this is what I hate about audiobooks... I can't highlight and go back to passages that I really liked. And I already forgot what the second thing was that I wanted to mark.
