Status Updates From Brown Girl in the Ring

I hate that Tony aint shit. :-(

This is super good. However, I did think there would be a. . .brown girl in a ring. . .like some sort of hunger games meets folk magic situation, but this is more of a futuristic urban fantasy on Obeah folk magic set in Toronto.

I thought it would all be folk fantasy, but there's a nice little steamy romance in between the plotline. I'm thoroughly enjoying this novel!!

The second section confused me a little bit with the introduction of the characters' dialect and the girl suddenly having visions, but. . .I'm super into this.

Someone needs a heart. . .illegally? Sounds like a great start for me!
