Listen I was wrong about Aiden sure okay but dawg. This is still just about her in the end.

"There was a call," one of them said.
"It was from me," I said. "My name is Tess Moreau." I gestured at Aidan. "This is Aidan Otley. He said he was going to kill me. He said he was going to kill me, the way he killed Skye Nolan and Peggy Nolan." Aidan gave an uneasy laugh.
"Is this a joke? A crazy sick joke?"
"No," I said. I felt tall and strong.

I gave up listening to creepcast reading Jeff the killer for this.

"Is that it?" I said. "Are you going back to the golf course?"
His expression darkened. "I was in the park playing football with my two little boys," he said. "But thanks for asking."

This is what I mean. Tess is so caught up with this entire plot that she doesn’t give a shit about anyone else. She didn’t care about Peggy when she was alive and she sure as hell didn’t when she died.

An officer had asked me if I wanted to make a statement, but I said I needed to talk to the detective in charge of the inquiry. I told them that it was about the murders of Skye Nolan and Peggy Nolan. I knew who had committed the murders and it was urgent and I would only talk to the detective.
[The young police]said that it was a Saturday, people were at home. I said it didn't matter what day it was.

"Does that mean ...?" [aiden]
"No," I said. "I need to sort things."
He nodded several times. "Do you think, in the fu-ture, when you're ready ... ?"
"Mummy!" Poppy's voice cut through the air.
"Mummy Mummy Mummy."
I jumped to my feet.
"Sorry," I said. "Let yourself out."
"Of course."

“Durrant leaned closer so his eyes were boring into mine. I could smell his meaty breath. ‘Do you hear?’
‘I hear,” I said. ‘But—‘
His hand lifted and crashed down on the desk.

THANK YOU. How many times has tess said something along the lines of “I hear” or “I understand” and the completely contradict herself.

Tess is taken into questioning obviously because she found Peggy’s dead body and she did everything the police told her not to lol. She touched shit, went through skyes bag of the clothes she died in and when the police call her out she says she suddenly has to go and pick poppy up. I noticed that I started to read Tess’ voice with no tone and inflection. I’m so irritated by her dawg

This whole section of tess interviewing hannah felt so flat to me. I recognized it after her interviewing peggy, Charlie, Kelly, and so on. It feels like tess isn’t there and we’re seeing the other character talk just to update us on their view and facts of the whole thing. Also tess is such a shady character if you didn’t read from her pov. I have no idea why everyone she interviews dumps all this info easily.

I highly doubt it but what if this book is meant to show the reader that tess is kind of an antagonist in some way.

She went to skye’s inquest and sought out skye’s mom after telling kelly she’ll be “sensitive” on the entire matter. And the claw is a perfect description. She’s obsessive about everything and is a shadow over everyone right now.

This whole page where tess is not understanding Kelly and the police work side is annoying TF OUTTA ME BRO. like kelly said, tess is LUCKY to even have the police listen to her concerns and even do something about it!! Tess saying the police haven’t been working hard enough to find any connections between the three men in tess’ life and saying they’re not following up on what tess told them and accusing

And Gina’s going on saying “I would be mad at myself too” girl tf if she just told tess the moment she knew none of this would have happened!!!
