Not exactly what I had expected.. not as thrilling and suspenseful as other books and it took ages to start becoming "good" for me.

What is going on haha ??? What is this plot

The amount of times I have had that same thought!

So there is this thing in some thrillers where the main character is starting to put the pieces of a puzzle together and they do crazy stuff like interview people who could be involved or sneak into people's houses or try to login to their computers and I'm always so perplexed by this behavior! Would you do that stuff??

amateur sleuthing is a favorite trope!

This is definitely one of those books where it’s like, “honey, are you sure? Maybe you misremembered, you’re paranoid, you’re being hysterical, overreacting…”

“The biggest danger to these women had been their husbands or their lovers, those they were intimate with, those they trusted. As far as I could make out, most of them died in their own homes.”

I love these thrillers where a clueless partner is just unraveling this whole ball of yarn their significant other had secretly wound up :)

A divorced couple meet for coffee and exchange their daughter with all her overnight belongings including a drawing she did in thick black strokes of a possible murder she witnessed! Ack! Creepy

The plot seems to be dragging so far, help lol

It is a good mystery, vivid characters. Einfühlsam geschrieben. I really would like to find out what has happened. What made Poppy draw this picture? (Side note: I have always liked the name Poppy. The teacher in the movie Happy-Go-Lucky is also called Poppy.)
