Ok, I’m so hooked now. Our protagonist Emma has the wit and sensibility of an Elizabeth Bennet and more than a shade of the boldness and propensity for trouble of an Anne Shirley.
The delightfully quirky characters that reside in St. Crispian’s give “stars hollow” vibes. I’m knee deep in curiosity about the four friends: the vicar, duke, tenant and Emma and where that will go.
