It’s really interesting to read a “stop the apocalypse” story and genuinely be unsure if they’ll be able to do it. It doesn’t feel like a given like in some stories and there’s something exciting about that. A lot of times you know the good guys are gonna win because that’s how these stories go but I could definitely buy this book ending with “and they both died.”
