These stories are so raw my eyebrows are stuck in the “concerned” position.

Every American should read this. Only 12% in and it’s just basic info about abortion, but it’s more than most people voting on our bodies know.

narration is slightly odd but now that i'm used to it it's actually pretty nice.

Controversial read but it’s more than what the title says. There’s always room to learn and familiarize yourself with others’ stories.

Talking about ectopic pregnancy reimplantations and abortion reversals, it looks like the US is operating in a sci-fi world, what even????

Insane thing to digest: we require parental consent when a minor wants to have an abortion, but parental consent or even notification isn’t required by law for a minor to continue a pregnancy and become a parent

I have had some patients, mostly of Indian descent, in the United States tell me that they want an abortion because they can’t have another girl, that it would be burdensome to the family. I had two predictions about this book before beginning it: that I was about to be reminded at the strength of women and utterly infuriated at lawmakers and others who try to hinder a woman’s right to choose. I’ve been correct on both predictions 😄

Listening on audiobook. Great introduction!
