i would say the inner child archetypes would be better covered and explained by schema theory. it still sounds a bit sketchy here.

i wouldnt say those events experienced by low ACE scorers as described by author are traumas, it’s more like a continuous conditioning thing than an adverse event

author is rewording existing concepts (e.g. mindfulness, type 1 vs type 2 thinking, automatic vs intentional behaviours) into her set of holistic psychology jargons

ive did a quoted google search of the middle part of the jesus quote (from front matter) and the only source i can find is from https://www.gnosticwarrior.com/great-...
moreover, the wikipedia page about “the great work” is not convincing me that it is a credible topic.

So far, it is helping understand how the brain works in connection with my habits. I’ve learned that it’s of the time, I am running on a subconscious autopilot and that because of this, I’m struggling to get myself out of the “stuck” place.

Emotional maturity has nothing to do with numerical age.

You have to see yourself to love yourself—and you have to love yourself in order to give yourself what you weren't able to get from others.

It is beneficial for us to put up boundaries around our internal world. We then allow moments of quiet in conversations without rushing to fill the silence. There are things that we can keep private. When we have proper boundaries in place, we have a choice about when and to whom we direct our emotional energy. Your thoughts, feelings, beliefs are your own and you can decide if you want to share them or not.

The reality is that being "not nice"(being true to your authentic Self) enables us to assert our value. It's not about being mean or arrogant, it's about knowing what you want, what your limits are, and communicating that. Learning to say "no" and not being so compliant all the time is an important part of reclaiming yourself. Learning to say "no" is often the kindest thing you can do for yourself and those you love.

A healthy relationship provides space for mutual evolution. This is the essence of authentic love, when two people allow each other the freedom and support to be fully seen, heard, and Self expressed. Authentic love doesn't feel like an emotional roller coaster; it feels like peace and an inner knowing that you are both choosing to show up from a place of mutual respect and admiration. Authentic love feels safe.

You are able to think about things and make decisions without looking to others for answers. I promise you can trust yourself and still be loved.

Investing in our mental and physical health requires daily, committed effort. Her story also serves as an inspiring reminder that no matter how broken, out of control, tired, or hopeless we may feel, change is possible.
