There was an air of arrogance in the beginning couple pages, but that went away and the book has got me interested now.

“If parent-figures have not healed or even recognized their own unresolved traumas, they cannot consciously navigate their own path in life, let alone act as trustworthy guides for someone else.”
Ain’t that the damn truth!

“We all want to be better versions of ourselves. But our attempts to do so have failed because we don’t understand our own minds and bodies. We don’t have the practical tools to understand how to create the changes we seek to make.”

The placebo studies are so interesting. The power of the mind is insane!

Y’all I am facing stuff on here better than I did in YEARS (decade+ of therapy). Unreal.

The author was hyping her own achievements/holistic psychology up so much before even explaining what it is. It gave self-important/arrogant vibes which doesn't leave a good impression.
Would be better to explain the therapy/solution BEFORE and then tell us why you're great.

I was having a debilitating anxious day, lungs hurting and slipping in and out of disassociation kinda anxiety. Finally picked this up and made a tiny dent in it. It's not the quick read I was expecting. I thought I'd learn a thing or two, go oooh and aaah, and call it a day. This makes you actually, well, do the work. 2 exercises down. Made a dedicated journal for it and feeling pretty good about it.

Başlarda çok iyi ve akıcı gidiyor fakat yazar bir noktadan sonra sürekli tekrara düşüyor, belki kitabı bitirdiğimde daha farklı düşünürüm.
