It is okay so far.
Good information, but not exactly pertinent to me.

"Nonactivated peace is dull and unfamiliar. Our body and mind seek the familiar, even if it is painful, and many of us are left ultimately feeling ashamed about and confused by our behavior." — on childhood trauma and how it effects our everyday behaviors.

...like when you tell a friend about a job promotion or a recent vacation and they immediately steer the conversation back to their problems... Often emotional dumpers feel comfortable ... only when discussing topics that allow themselves to feel depressed.

Highly recommend this book for anyone. This is not a typical self-help book. Drawing on science, this clinical psychologist presents an incredibly convincing case for crafting a life with physical/psychological/spiritual integration and wellness ("holistic psychology").
Taking my time reading this one because every page contains incredible advice and sight.

Learning a lot about myself, the reason why I behave the way I do, and how others may be doing the same thing! I’m not saying I’m a psychologist or anything but I’m catching myself witnessing others behaviors and why they would be behaving that way 😂 ( no judgement of course) but it makes me feel more empathetic towards them

Woo woo. Sounds like some good points combined with speculation. The author brought up placebo and nocebo, and I hope the author also mentions the the part where it's temporary, otherwise it's just misleading.

Been also listening to her podcast, learning more of my trauma, my griefs and moments when I am enduring a change in my life that’s alarming me and telling me something needs to change and or something IS changing. Understanding when the body is alerting me, i can rewire my response accordingly and take control of what my body is experiencing and saying as well as what os triggering it.
