This book is so exciting!!!!

Started a little slow but so far so good.

So far the story is about a woman who has been held captive in the woods of upper Michigan and the psycho who has been torturing her. There is some kind of EMP event that takes out all electronics and she is able to escape into the snowy wilderness. Meanwhile, psycho is racing back to the woods from town to try and kill her. Not much post-disaster survivalist plot yet.

Excellent. I can’t put it down.

So far so good, haven't read much since I've been busy with other things but it's already pulled me in.

I’m reading this book ALOT slower than I would like, but life is just crazy atm. We are currently packing up our lives for world backpacking so trying to find time to read is hard atm. At least throughout our travels I will have plenty of time.

I’m still deeply invested but as the story line has been moving along I find myself tired of the same repetitive emotions being portrayed heavily through each chapter. There seems to be alot more negative emotions felt by the characters and pushed onto the reader. I would like to see a bit more hopef and descriptive paragraphs vs constant heavy emotionally charged insights.

I’m already obsessed with this book and catch myself thinking about it when I’m not on the edge of my seat reading. The suspenseful and anxiety inducing twists and turns have been keeping me so engaged right from the very beginning. I love knowing that there are more books to follow leaving my mind to continue wandering past the remaining chapters. A good read :)
